First month is over already and I am happy that I have a few finish and progress on some WIPs too! Hoping for finish 1. Bean Bag - finished 2. Toaster Sweater for #SewMyStyle - this will be my choice for the  One Monthly Goal 3. Medaillon quilt - finished Bee Blocks  1.  Flower hexies for the Inchy Hexie Swap (January ) - done 2.  I love Lucy International ( November, bonus block) - done 3. Block lotto - none WIP 1. Wanta Fanta - need 1 more block - top finished 2.  Elephant Parade  - 6 more blocks before the top can be put together  3.  Farmer's wife 1930 QAL and original FW - 15 blocks this month but once has disappeared before the photo shoot! 4. Postcards from the World - no progress 5. 365 challenge quilt  -  no progress 6. Town and Country quilt  - I am so behind.... -  no progress 7. HST modern sampler quilt - 12 blocks behind, catch up time -  no progress 8.  Project 4

So I had this quilt top in my cupboard for .... 10 years   and it has been waiting to be quilted for that long, I am ashamed to say.... I made the central snowflake from a pattern by Paula  Nadelstern  I can't remember if I paper pieced it or use template, I think it was the latter but I remember I had trouble having it flat... I send it for a Round Robin to all my partners and after 6 rounds it came back like this And then seeing the lovely work and the huge size of it (it is about 75' square), I got scared of quilting it so I put it away for later. Later never arrived until at the end of last year I thought it would be so good to tackle it. And it has been a learning experience.... I have changed threads during the quilting (which I have not done before) I have quilted the quilt on the frame "by row" and then turned it 90 degrees to finish it off... there are a few puckers on the back but I can live with those. And I have practiced lots of motifs

Another quilt top, ready for some free-motion quilting! Most of the blocks were made by 2 bee groups in the last 2 years and because I wanted a larger top, I made a few blocks myself. My daughter picked the border fabric since it will be a quilt for her big bed. I love the design of this one and can't wait to have some time to quilt it. Linking to Whoop Whoop Friday . Celine

Only one more Farmer's wife block: 64 - [Peace & Plenty] 4 blocks for my Elephant Parade quilt but the turtle's leg is the wrong way:-( and my hexies for January too! 6 blocks that take my monthly total to 33! In the evenings, sewing time is limited so I find it easier to make one block or two, if I am lucky! I seem to have had a good run in the last week or so. Project 48 - block 41 One last "bonus" bee block for our Mama Bee Jan Quite a few more blocks for my Farmer's Wife quilt - I am on a roll with this one but then I have lots of blocks to do so I need to stay focused on it! 3 - [Basket] 5 - [Bat Wing] 8 - [Bouquet] 13 - [Buckwheat]  14 - [Butterfly at the Crossroads] 15 - [Buzzard's Roost] 25 - [Cups and Saucer] 26 - [Cut Glass Dish] 34 - [Flock] 35 - [Flower Basket] 51 - [Hovering Birds] 54 - [Kitchen Woodbox] 55 - [Linoleum] One Dear Jane block too after so many years!  E-10 - Five and Dime - let's hope it won't be the only one this year.... And also the last block for my Wanta Fanta quilt, since I am getting gifted a block too. An additional 17 blocks this week to take

After battling with my overlocker last week-end, I finally took the plunge and tried some clothes sewing, with jersey as well!  I had signed up to #SewMyStyle on Instagram and the first pattern for January is a Toaster Sweater by Sew House Seven.I have been willing to try clothes making for a while and I figured that would give me the push I needed to get started. I had cut the pattern and then the fabric, yes one step at a time as I was quite scared! So on Saturday, I started assembling the pieces. And surprise, it went together quite easily! I got to this stage on Saturday I tried the twin needle sewing on the seams but it was messy so I gave up before ruining everything. And on Sunday night, I had my first ever me-made garment! The fabric was on the thin side so it is more a T-Shirt than a sweater, which is good because it is slightly tight on me anyway and suit better  a T-shirt. The fabric is soooo comfortable I really love it. And I think there will be more of these
