So April is finished in a few hours. I am not sure we can say that Spring has arrived, a few days ago we were back in winter! The month has been busy as usual but I almost feel I have done quite a bit, so that's good. Let's have a look at the list to check! Bee Blocks  1. Flower hexies for the Inchy Hexie Swap (April )  - done 2.  Fat Stash Bee (April)    - no block this month! 3. Bee Hive (March, April ) - March and April done 4. Bubble Bee ( March, April ) - in progress 5.  I love Lucy International (March, April) - March finished, April started 6. Scandi Bee (March, April) - March done, April started WIP 1.    Quilt for M   - I made some progress! I have a quilt top and I am very happy with it! Next step quilting 2.  Elephant Parade  -  my  Lazy Bums  challenge for October was to make 10 blocks   - no progress 3.   Scrappy X block quilt  - 2 last blocks in progress -  my  Lazy Bums  challenge for November  -  no progress

So my April challenge for the Lazy Bums is to make a quilt top for my son with blocks I received a few years ago (about 2013...) from various swaps and bees (to be honest this has been on my to-do list for a while actually) and I had even devised a plan using sashing around each blocks and made a start last year but didn't go very far. So I got my pile of blocks out at the week-end and of course I had been clever enough not to keep my scribbles that were my plan with the blocks and fabric so I have now idea where it has disappeared! And I decided that the best thing to do was to lay out the blocks and start again. I had 25 blocks altogether that I collected but decided that it wouldn't be enough, ideally I needed 30. I found another 3 that I had made for other purposes but that hadn't been used yet and were the right colour scheme but slightly smaller, a tiny border and I could throw them into the mix and was left with 2 holes to fill! Easy to add 2 blocks and

I knew I had bitten more than I could chew with all the quilt-alongs challenges etc, but I always do! For the daily challenges, we past the 100 blocks mark this month and of course I haven't got 100 blocks for either of them. So last week, I finished all the January blocks for the 365 Quilt Challenge and a few others too, this week, I started back to where we are and worked backwards and so far I have done 12 blocks for April. This means that I am about 40 blocks behind... still (as for the other daily challenge... well I won't even mention it at the moment) And I also caught up with my belated March blocks for Scandi Bee - probably a fear of orange as Cathy had picked an easy block and Bee Hive, stunning choice of block from Kerstin, I can't wait to see her finished quilt! That's it, it is already 100 days since I joined Jen for her challenge, how fast did that go! It was a great focus though and I am pleased to say that although I didn't finish everything there was progress in all 3 projetcs I picked. So this was my list: 1. Catch up with my bee blocks - and I am please to say that all the blocks I owed for the Lazy Bums Geese swaps are done and sent, that was about 15 or so blocks and I am happy that they have all left the house! 2. HKQAL - This was a brand new project and although I haven't finished it, I am cruising towards the finishing line I hope. nearly 2/3 of the way now. 3. A new bag for me - I have a new bag, which was an old UFO, that wasn't my plan originally but then I needed a new bag and I have one. I am still on the lookout for another one so if you have a pattern to recommend, please let me know! And yesterday I started another 100 Day project on Instagram #The100DayP

Again I have only made a few blocks. I was hoping to have a week full of sewing last week and a week-end with even more sewing time but it didn't work that way, even less so that I spent Saturday in bed being sick...again. Anyway I made a few blocks for the 365 Challenge, I am so behind now as I have hardly made any of the March blocks. So I made 8 more blocks and I have finally finished January! I also made 4 more Hello Kitty blocks that my little assistant prepared for me, 15 more to go! I also finished finally my March block for I love Lucy International Bee for Judith.
