I must admit that despite the long list I had written, I didn't have high expectations for sewing time this month with half of it spent travelling in China but I did manage a few things on our return, which feels good! Hoping for finish 1.  Dance bag for C -  not started but it would be good to finish it at the same time as the other one more or less .  This will be my  One monthly goal  - finished.... just in time! When the Orsola dress was released last summer, I fell in love and planned to make one straight away. I bought some lovely bright pink fabric and this is where I stopped.... I know, I know, sounds familiar. So this year, when the #sewtogeherfor summer challenge came up on Instagram to make a wrap dress, this was the obvious project to pick up again! And because I hadn't bought enough fabric for the lining as well, I paired it with a floral cotton lawn I had in my stash I also managed to cut an Ogden cami in the same fabric too that I finished earlier. I took it more slowly with the Orsola dress but managed to finish the lined bodice the same week-end I cut it off. Next step was to make the skirt which I finished with French seams to make it neater inside And then to add the waistband to the bodice before attaching the skirt to the top. The inside waistband is finished by hand, which is what I have left to do, hopefully tomorrow So the month is nearly over but I am

The sun has arrived here and it almost feel like summer here. We had a relatively quiet week-end so I took advantage to fit some sewing. About a year ago, I bought a lovely cotton and linen fuschia fabric to make an orsola dress that I never got around to make. I have picked that for my #sewtogetherforsummer project. With just 2 meters of fabric it was obvious I wouldn't have enough for the lining as well so I went into my stash to find a lovely cotton lawn that worked so well with it. And while I was laying out all the pieces for the Orsola dress, I thought I might be able to squeeze another Ogden cami so I play puzzles and managed to fit it all in by using both fabric together. and I cut a dress and a top this week-end. Because I have made the Ogden before I progressed this one quicker and managed to finish it over the week-end. While travelling in the last 2 weeks, there was quite a significant amount of time sat in transport (mainly planes) which gave me some time to finally work on my Postcards from the World cross-stitch again. And I even managed to finish the 10th square: New-York! I also made a good start on #11, only to realised that I had made a mistake and needed to unpick almost everything so we won't talk about that one just yet :-( Celine

I have been very quiet in the last few weeks as we were away on an adventure to Hong-Kong and China. My best friend moved to Hong-Kong 2 years ago with her family so we planned a trip to visit them. It was such an experience to travel so far with all the family! And we had a fabulous time, we saw loads and did a lot without any incidents. China is such a different place and is so big and populated, it is almost overwhelming at time. Now we are back to the routine, kids are back a school and work has started again! Of course, there are a lot that are here from the previous quarter as I didn't tick that many off, but in a bid to not increase the size of the list (especially the dressmaking one, I have swapped a few items for new ones that I am really hoping to get done). Quilts: 1. HK quilt for E (all cut) - I would really like to make it as a birthday present so that should be a serious contender for this quarter 2. Modern HST triangles (19 blocks are done), this one is hopefully also a serious contender for this quarter 3. Super Mario quilt (half of the blocks done, a real UFO) 4. Project 48 quilt with a few Solstice challenge blocks (all blocks done, might need a few more???)  5. Impromptu quilt (a real UFO)  6.
