Blocks for the May Lotto

Finally I have finished my blocks for the blocklotto and introduced myself briefly on the blog. I ended making 6 Cactus Pot blocks. I was initially planning to make 8 but I am running out of time. Blocks #5 & 6 have been cut, ready to be sewn for over a week now and I only manage to complete them today. The blocks are due by the end of the month (Sunday).


Next week, the new block for June will be posted. I will try to be quicker and make more maybe... watch this space!
Time to go to bed now as I might be tempted to go shopping for some fabric tomorrow with my lovely daughter (never to early to be immersed in the world of fabric/quilting etc!)

Welcome to my stop on the Hexie Blog Hop Be a Hexie Queen ! Blog hop and a giveaway

I have written a blog for over 2 years now but started quilting about 10 years ago, mainly self-taught. Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along

  Yes I know, another new project... but (!) this one is all about using my scraps, what's not to love. And the instructions come in German for the  Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along .  The first 3 blocks are made of rectangles and I used only scraps to make those (I can't really say I have made a dent in my scrap basket either actually...) I picked green as the focus colour for the blocks since this is the January colour for the Rainbow Scraps Challenge organised by Angela I joined the challenge years ago but hadn't participated in recent times. Of course it would be tempting to start yet another project but I think using my scraps for this quilt along in the set colour of the month is a safer plan.
