Caterpillar is taking shape

My progress was very little on the Hungry Caterpillar quilt last week during the Friday Night Sew-In but I made up for it on Tuesday when I spent my day at my quilting group. I managed to get two third of the quilt top pieced and I really like how it is coming along, what do you think?

Off to try and finish the last third now.

    Hi Celine!

    Your Hungry Caterpillar is coming along beautifully!! I really like how you have included the little squares of other novelty fabrics, they make you look all over the quilt which is great for little ones. My HC collection is still in the project "to do" box and I've also just found a collection of flannel Peter Rabbit fabrics I must have purchased last year!! Oh dear!! I had better get some of this fabric made into some quilts!!

Welcome to my stop on the Hexie Blog Hop Be a Hexie Queen ! Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along

  Yes I know, another new project... but (!) this one is all about using my scraps, what's not to love. And the instructions come in German for the  Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along .  The first 3 blocks are made of rectangles and I used only scraps to make those (I can't really say I have made a dent in my scrap basket either actually...) I picked green as the focus colour for the blocks since this is the January colour for the Rainbow Scraps Challenge organised by Angela I joined the challenge years ago but hadn't participated in recent times. Of course it would be tempting to start yet another project but I think using my scraps for this quilt along in the set colour of the month is a safer plan.
