Friday Night Sew-In, in the jungle

I can't believe it has been over a week before I took the time to sit down and write a post. Thanks for the comments you have been leaving lately, I haven't had chance to reply yet (as I want to go and visit your blog at the same time!) but I will do soon. I am back very briefly after spending the last week or so, working on my jungle quilt that I want to give out tomorrow.  You can see the animals here and here.
I pieced the top at the week-end and put the 3 layers together on Monday night. Then I quilted every evening until yesterday. Finally tonight for the Friday Night Sew-In, I did sew the border in. This quilt is a present for my friend's son who is already 18 months. Since we are going over for his Christening at the week-end, I was determined to have it finished to hand it over. So now I have to finish hand sewing the border at the back which I should do tomorrow before putting a little label and it will be done! My first OPAM for this month! I am really proud I got there as I only started working on it just under 2 weeks ago. Do you like it?

See you soon!

  1. Oh that is really cute Celine. Well done especially in the short time you had to do it. Makes me wish I had a little boy to make one for.

  2. I like it...especially the elephant's trunk taking up space on the nine block. He will be one happy little boy with his own zoo.
