One more framed hexie this month

My first ever framed hexie was for Jeanette and I decided on a heart. However at the time, I didn't know I didn't have the right size template. So the heart I sent to Jeanette last year was bigger than the other hexies she had in her collection. This month I was doing a framed hexie for Jeanette again (and a flower hexie) so I delayed sending her my package and remade a heart framed hexie similar to the first one I made but with the right size template this time. It is now on its way to Australia, I hope Jeanette likes my hexies to her.

Welcome to my stop on the Hexie Blog Hop Be a Hexie Queen ! I am a hexie lover and always have an emergency supply of hexies in my bag for when I am on-the-go (which is actually very often) and when I first signed up for the blog hop, I thought I would show you a EPP (English Paper Piecing) hexie project. I have written a blog for over 2 years now but started quilting about 10 years ago, mainly self-taught. Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along

  Yes I know, another new project... but (!) this one is all about using my scraps, what's not to love. And the instructions come in German for the  Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along .  The first 3 blocks are made of rectangles and I used only scraps to make those (I can't really say I have made a dent in my scrap basket either actually...) I picked green as the focus colour for the blocks since this is the January colour for the Rainbow Scraps Challenge organised by Angela I joined the challenge years ago but hadn't participated in recent times. Of course it would be tempting to start yet another project but I think using my scraps for this quilt along in the set colour of the month is a safer plan.
