Bee Europa 2012

This month, Muriel has sent us some pretty fabric with Kona stone background so we could make her a convergence corners block following this tutorial for her month in Bee Europa 2012-2013.
I sliced off the charm square to 4' before I started. My first round uses 1.5' strips and in the second round, the strips are 2'. The block finishes off at 13', slightly bigger that what Muriel asked for but I will send it for her to square off.

Welcome to my stop on the Hexie Blog Hop Be a Hexie Queen ! Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along

  Yes I know, another new project... but (!) this one is all about using my scraps, what's not to love. And the instructions come in German for the  Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along .  The first 3 blocks are made of rectangles and I used only scraps to make those (I can't really say I have made a dent in my scrap basket either actually...) I picked green as the focus colour for the blocks since this is the January colour for the Rainbow Scraps Challenge organised by Angela I joined the challenge years ago but hadn't participated in recent times. Of course it would be tempting to start yet another project but I think using my scraps for this quilt along in the set colour of the month is a safer plan. It is snowing...

Well not really where I am. It is pouring down with rain and it is very windy too. But it has been snowing in my sewing room! If you have arrived from the Holiday Lane Pillow  blog hop , welcome! Today is day my stop on the hop. I first saw Jill's design last year and saved it on my computer to make it one day!
