WIP

This week, I am playing with very basic shapes! I am playing with squares and rectangles

and also with 2.5' strips


I am making my Stepping Stairs blocks for the [3x6] Sampler Quilt Mini Bee. These are coming along very nicely and I should be there very soon. I have completed 2 so far



I have also started working on my blocks for the [4x5] Modern Quilt Bee. I will be making Bento Box blocks. I have started with a test block in my colour scheme: blue/green and low volume/text prints that I need to finish off before I go in "production" mode. Although I have made this block before for my new UFO of Rainbow Bento started last year.
I want to eventually make a quilt for Mr Cars' bed with the blocks I am getting from the swap.

Welcome to my stop on the Hexie Blog Hop Be a Hexie Queen ! I am a hexie lover and always have an emergency supply of hexies in my bag for when I am on-the-go (which is actually very often) and when I first signed up for the blog hop, I thought I would show you a EPP (English Paper Piecing) hexie project. Blog hop and a giveaway

I have written a blog for over 2 years now but started quilting about 10 years ago, mainly self-taught. Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along

  Yes I know, another new project... but (!) this one is all about using my scraps, what's not to love. And the instructions come in German for the  Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along .  The first 3 blocks are made of rectangles and I used only scraps to make those (I can't really say I have made a dent in my scrap basket either actually...) I picked green as the focus colour for the blocks since this is the January colour for the Rainbow Scraps Challenge organised by Angela I joined the challenge years ago but hadn't participated in recent times. Of course it would be tempting to start yet another project but I think using my scraps for this quilt along in the set colour of the month is a safer plan.
