September goals

School starts back tomorrow, I can't believe the summer is over already (for what we had of a summer anyway!). Time to get serious and set down my goals for September.

Hoping for Finishes!
1.  Make a book bag for Mister Cars and one for Miss Baby for school, these will be my challenge for A lovely Year of Finishes

2. Dumpling Swap - NewFO 
3. Trick or Treat Swap- NewFO 

Bee Blocks
1. Stash Bee block (June, July, August and September) 
2. Little Blog Bee block (August) 
3. Block Lotto blocks? 
4. I love Lucy international block (July, August and September)
5. flower hexies for the Inchy Hexie Swap (September) 

WIP
1. Midnight in the Oasis 
2. Mod Mod Along blocks: Sunrise Blocks x 6, Little Window blocks x 11 and Sweet Dreams blocks

4. Finish Maud's bag and my work bag - my Lazy Bums challenge for September

Welcome to my stop on the Hexie Blog Hop Be a Hexie Queen ! I am a hexie lover and always have an emergency supply of hexies in my bag for when I am on-the-go (which is actually very often) and when I first signed up for the blog hop, I thought I would show you a EPP (English Paper Piecing) hexie project. That was until I remembered a long forgotten UFO that was laying in a plastic bag in my cupboard. Blog hop and a giveaway

I have written a blog for over 2 years now but started quilting about 10 years ago, mainly self-taught. I love fabric and my stash is probably too big for my needs, but can a girl really have TOO MUCH fabric? I don't think so! Michele at the Quilting Gallery is organising a blog hop for the 4th anniversary of her site . If you don't know the quilting gallery yet, you need to hop over there and have a look around, there is plenty to browse at. Every week, there is a themed-contest. Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along

  Yes I know, another new project... but (!) this one is all about using my scraps, what's not to love. And the instructions come in German for the  Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along .  The first 3 blocks are made of rectangles and I used only scraps to make those (I can't really say I have made a dent in my scrap basket either actually...) I picked green as the focus colour for the blocks since this is the January colour for the Rainbow Scraps Challenge organised by Angela I joined the challenge years ago but hadn't participated in recent times. Of course it would be tempting to start yet another project but I think using my scraps for this quilt along in the set colour of the month is a safer plan.
