Swap packages in and out

So I came back from holidays to find this wonderful package waiting for me from Louise (all the way from Australia) for the Happy Unicorn Swap.

I must say the girls were ready to raid it as soon as I opened it and I had trouble even being able to see it all!

and how about this sweet mini unicorn, just fabulous

Thanks Louise, truly appreciated by me but also by the whole family!

And as soon as we got back on Sunday, I chained myself to the sewing machine to make sure my Liberty of London swap package would be ready to be sent on Monday.

I finished the sewing mat I had started before the holidays late on Sunday





and sent my package on Monday after a little photo session!

Welcome to my stop on the Hexie Blog Hop Be a Hexie Queen ! Blog hop and a giveaway

I have written a blog for over 2 years now but started quilting about 10 years ago, mainly self-taught. Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along

  Yes I know, another new project... but (!) this one is all about using my scraps, what's not to love. And the instructions come in German for the  Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along .  The first 3 blocks are made of rectangles and I used only scraps to make those (I can't really say I have made a dent in my scrap basket either actually...) I picked green as the focus colour for the blocks since this is the January colour for the Rainbow Scraps Challenge organised by Angela I joined the challenge years ago but hadn't participated in recent times. Of course it would be tempting to start yet another project but I think using my scraps for this quilt along in the set colour of the month is a safer plan.
