A new Year is beginning, 2016 has just started and I wish you all a healthy, happy and creative year!

Happy New Year!

To start the New Year I will share my 2016 goals with you, but if I write them, do I have to keep them? ;-) I never make New Year's resolutions because I can't seem to keep them....

One thing I would really like to manage this year is to relax more and be less stressed, let's hope!

Otherwise, of course my goals for 2016 which involves fabric and thread are far too many to be realistic (!) but let's just list the ones I would really love to achieve:

1. HKQAL for my youngest
2. Quilt for M
3. Custom cushions
4. some  clothes sewing (I have patterns, fabric and an overlocker just for that)
5. Catch up and follow on the quilt-alongs: Farmer's Wife 1930, HK, HST, 365-challenge, Town and Country quilt

Maybe I'll check-in in a year's time to see how much I have achieved... or maybe not!

Welcome to my stop on the Hexie Blog Hop Be a Hexie Queen ! I am a hexie lover and always have an emergency supply of hexies in my bag for when I am on-the-go (which is actually very often) and when I first signed up for the blog hop, I thought I would show you a EPP (English Paper Piecing) hexie project. Blog hop and a giveaway

I have written a blog for over 2 years now but started quilting about 10 years ago, mainly self-taught. I love fabric and my stash is probably too big for my needs, but can a girl really have TOO MUCH fabric? I don't think so! Michele at the Quilting Gallery is organising a blog hop for the 4th anniversary of her site . Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along

  Yes I know, another new project... but (!) this one is all about using my scraps, what's not to love. And the instructions come in German for the  Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along .  The first 3 blocks are made of rectangles and I used only scraps to make those (I can't really say I have made a dent in my scrap basket either actually...) I picked green as the focus colour for the blocks since this is the January colour for the Rainbow Scraps Challenge organised by Angela I joined the challenge years ago but hadn't participated in recent times. Of course it would be tempting to start yet another project but I think using my scraps for this quilt along in the set colour of the month is a safer plan.
