Q3 FAL

So half of the year is gone already and there is another half left now! It's gone fast but I feel like I have done a few things and also learnt a few new things, probably my proudest make for the first half of the year is my GInger Jeans. TIme to make a new list for next term now.... and of course with the summer, it will be hard to have lots of sewing time!

    That is quite a long list! Good that you are already planning a quilt for April. Much better than waiting until the last minute. Your fabric choices for the Solstice Challenge are fabulous. I wish you the best in accomplishing your goals.

Welcome to my stop on the Hexie Blog Hop Be a Hexie Queen ! I am a hexie lover and always have an emergency supply of hexies in my bag for when I am on-the-go (which is actually very often) and when I first signed up for the blog hop, I thought I would show you a EPP (English Paper Piecing) hexie project. I have written a blog for over 2 years now but started quilting about 10 years ago, mainly self-taught. Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along

  Yes I know, another new project... but (!) this one is all about using my scraps, what's not to love. And the instructions come in German for the  Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along .  The first 3 blocks are made of rectangles and I used only scraps to make those (I can't really say I have made a dent in my scrap basket either actually...) I picked green as the focus colour for the blocks since this is the January colour for the Rainbow Scraps Challenge organised by Angela I joined the challenge years ago but hadn't participated in recent times. Of course it would be tempting to start yet another project but I think using my scraps for this quilt along in the set colour of the month is a safer plan.
