Another quilt-along!

I know, I know... I have posted about so many quilt-along recently and have very little to show for it. Maybe I am being reasonable :-), maybe I am edging my bets, maybe I have too many projects I want to start that I am almost paralysed....

 Anyway, this week I saw yet another quilt-along, this one by Melissa at Happy Quilting Melissa starting next week.

I have played with Melissa 2 years ago for the Summer Solstice sew-along making a big cushion.

So this week it is all about choosing the fabric for this lovely big quilt, and you can post your choice on Melissa's blog here. I have picked a bundle of fabric I had saved for the Flowering Snowball quilt-along in ...2014! I think I have cut 2 blocks to date so I doubt this will ever become a quilt... so maybe it is time to use the fabric stashed!

    It's hard not to join every quilt-a-long, there are so many of them! The design of Melissa's latest is gorgeous and I'm sure your fabrics will look amazing!! Good luck with it!

Welcome to my stop on the Hexie Blog Hop Be a Hexie Queen ! I am a hexie lover and always have an emergency supply of hexies in my bag for when I am on-the-go (which is actually very often) and when I first signed up for the blog hop, I thought I would show you a EPP (English Paper Piecing) hexie project. Blog hop and a giveaway

Welcome to my blog if you are new here and found me from the Quilting Gallery website and welcome back if you are a regular reader. I have written a blog for over 2 years now but started quilting about 10 years ago, mainly self-taught. I love fabric and my stash is probably too big for my needs, but can a girl really have TOO MUCH fabric? I don't think so! Michele at the Quilting Gallery is organising a blog hop for the 4th anniversary of her site . If you don't know the quilting gallery yet, you need to hop over there and have a look around, there is plenty to browse at. Every week, there is a themed-contest. Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along

  Yes I know, another new project... but (!) this one is all about using my scraps, what's not to love. And the instructions come in German for the  Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along .  The first 3 blocks are made of rectangles and I used only scraps to make those (I can't really say I have made a dent in my scrap basket either actually...) I picked green as the focus colour for the blocks since this is the January colour for the Rainbow Scraps Challenge organised by Angela I joined the challenge years ago but hadn't participated in recent times. Of course it would be tempting to start yet another project but I think using my scraps for this quilt along in the set colour of the month is a safer plan.
