August goals

This month is a big month in some ways. I will finish my job with my current company at the end of August. 
In pre-Covid life, back in January, we had planned to visit our friends in Canada. We had also planned a tour in campervan to visit the Quebec area and Toronto  but of course, this is not happening now. We are now hoping to be able to cross the Channel at some point and visit the family, whom we haven't seen since early January. Fingers crossed this is finally happening despite Covid.
With all this in mind, I guess sewing time will be more than limited and I doubt my energy levels will be through the roof as I am still busy with so many interviews but we'll see. I have kept a rather long list to have some variety!

Welcome to my stop on the Hexie Blog Hop Be a Hexie Queen ! I am a hexie lover and always have an emergency supply of hexies in my bag for when I am on-the-go (which is actually very often) and when I first signed up for the blog hop, I thought I would show you a EPP (English Paper Piecing) hexie project. Blog hop and a giveaway

I have written a blog for over 2 years now but started quilting about 10 years ago, mainly self-taught. I love fabric and my stash is probably too big for my needs, but can a girl really have TOO MUCH fabric? I don't think so! Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along

  Yes I know, another new project... but (!) this one is all about using my scraps, what's not to love. And the instructions come in German for the  Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along .  The first 3 blocks are made of rectangles and I used only scraps to make those (I can't really say I have made a dent in my scrap basket either actually...) I picked green as the focus colour for the blocks since this is the January colour for the Rainbow Scraps Challenge organised by Angela I joined the challenge years ago but hadn't participated in recent times. Of course it would be tempting to start yet another project but I think using my scraps for this quilt along in the set colour of the month is a safer plan.
