June goals

This month, what I'd really like to do is finished a few items and get a head start on the teachers'/leaving presents for July. I have for once written a rather focused list (at least to my standards!) thinking this might be the key.... Let's hope that works out otherwise I will for sure run out of time...

Quilting:

1. Modern HST triangles - now that the top is finished, it needs quilting and I'd like this one to be ready as a gift by the end of July- this will be my One monthly goal

2. Impromptu quilt - I would really like to finish this top and send it for quilting before the end of the month...

3. Project 48 - either I keep the blocks or I get rid of them but I need to do something with these

4. Snowflake quilt-along - needs binding

5. Flabellum quilt - top finished, I am not sure if I am quilting it or sending it away for quilting


6. Maybe I can go through a few other UFOs and decide of their fate once and for all...


Dressmaking

1. PJ/nightdress for C - NEW
2. Blouse - NEW
3. Utility coat - need finishing

4. Calvin dress - cut

Accessories 

1. Bag for teachers 
2. Closet case pouf 
3. Pouches for teachers
4. Persephone wallet - started


Cross-stitch
1. Grimm's Tales stitch along
2. Nutcracker

Welcome to my stop on the Hexie Blog Hop Be a Hexie Queen ! I am a hexie lover and always have an emergency supply of hexies in my bag for when I am on-the-go (which is actually very often) and when I first signed up for the blog hop, I thought I would show you a EPP (English Paper Piecing) hexie project. Blog hop and a giveaway

Welcome to my blog if you are new here and found me from the Quilting Gallery website and welcome back if you are a regular reader. I have written a blog for over 2 years now but started quilting about 10 years ago, mainly self-taught. I love fabric and my stash is probably too big for my needs, but can a girl really have TOO MUCH fabric? I don't think so! Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along

  Yes I know, another new project... but (!) this one is all about using my scraps, what's not to love. And the instructions come in German for the  Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along .  The first 3 blocks are made of rectangles and I used only scraps to make those (I can't really say I have made a dent in my scrap basket either actually...) I picked green as the focus colour for the blocks since this is the January colour for the Rainbow Scraps Challenge organised by Angela I joined the challenge years ago but hadn't participated in recent times. Of course it would be tempting to start yet another project but I think using my scraps for this quilt along in the set colour of the month is a safer plan.
