June goals

June is already more than half way over and I haven't had a chance to post a list yet... Maybe it is too late or maybe not, but hopefully I'll have a little more energy to finish a few things this month....

Quilting


1. Impromptu quilt - this one is back from quilting and only need trimming and binding, maybe I can do the trimming?




Dressmaking

1. Aquarius dress - this one was my goal for last Sunday for my daughter's communion. It was wearable on the day but needs some fixing!
2. Top
3. Night dress
4. Kids summer PJs
5. Skirt


Bags

1. Moonwake bag
2. Open Wide Pouch or Wave bags as teachers' presents
3. Town bag by Grainline - cut and started but not progressing

    Une belle liste pour juin ! J'aime beaucoup ton quilt Impromptu, c'est rare de voir un modèle qui n'ait pas que des 9-patch déstructurés, mais mélangés à un autre bloc. Chouette idée pour mettre en valeur des tissus ! Bon courage avec la confection et les sacs ;-)

Welcome to my stop on the Hexie Blog Hop Be a Hexie Queen ! I am a hexie lover and always have an emergency supply of hexies in my bag for when I am on-the-go (which is actually very often) and when I first signed up for the blog hop, I thought I would show you a EPP (English Paper Piecing) hexie project. That was until I remembered a long forgotten UFO that was laying in a plastic bag in my cupboard. I have written a blog for over 2 years now but started quilting about 10 years ago, mainly self-taught. I love fabric and my stash is probably too big for my needs, but can a girl really have TOO MUCH fabric? I don't think so! Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along

  Yes I know, another new project... but (!) this one is all about using my scraps, what's not to love. And the instructions come in German for the  Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along .  The first 3 blocks are made of rectangles and I used only scraps to make those (I can't really say I have made a dent in my scrap basket either actually...) I picked green as the focus colour for the blocks since this is the January colour for the Rainbow Scraps Challenge organised by Angela I joined the challenge years ago but hadn't participated in recent times. Of course it would be tempting to start yet another project but I think using my scraps for this quilt along in the set colour of the month is a safer plan.
