December Furtle

 Sadly no sewing at all in December but I am happy to report very little crafting, almost all involving the Cricut that I finally seem to have tamed!

First there were many more Pillow Case Holders for the school plus one for my friend with a little diamanté

and then there were some paper crafts with some gift labels and money holders

And finally, not Cricut related but I finally finished the center part of the Nutcracker Parade during the holidays.

    Those pillow case holders are fantastic, I bet they were well received by the school. The gift tags look wonderful, and the Nutcracker Parade is beautiful, I’m looking forward to seeing the next section! Hooray for finishes *waves pompoms* Thanks for furtling!

Welcome to my stop on the Hexie Blog Hop Be a Hexie Queen ! I am a hexie lover and always have an emergency supply of hexies in my bag for when I am on-the-go (which is actually very often) and when I first signed up for the blog hop, I thought I would show you a EPP (English Paper Piecing) hexie project. Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along

  Yes I know, another new project... but (!) this one is all about using my scraps, what's not to love. And the instructions come in German for the  Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along .  The first 3 blocks are made of rectangles and I used only scraps to make those (I can't really say I have made a dent in my scrap basket either actually...) I picked green as the focus colour for the blocks since this is the January colour for the Rainbow Scraps Challenge organised by Angela I joined the challenge years ago but hadn't participated in recent times. Of course it would be tempting to start yet another project but I think using my scraps for this quilt along in the set colour of the month is a safer plan.
