My pillowcase dress

We went shopping last week-end and I found some lovely pillowcases in IKEA
that I bought for the Dress a Girl sew-along. I was hoping I'd have time to make some progress at the week-end but I didn't even get started. Anyway, tonight I finish my first pillowcase dress.
I used some fabric that I bought years ago at my very beginnings into patchwork to coordinate with the pillowcase.
Definitely have fabric for more, just need the time and energy now (and Baby Daughter's stomach bug to go away)

    The print you picked goes really nicely with the green pillowcase. I love going to Ikea, (my husband doesn't) there is so much to look at, you don't even need to buy anything.

Welcome to my stop on the Hexie Blog Hop Be a Hexie Queen ! Blog hop and a giveaway

I have written a blog for over 2 years now but started quilting about 10 years ago, mainly self-taught. Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along

  Yes I know, another new project... but (!) this one is all about using my scraps, what's not to love. And the instructions come in German for the  Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along .  The first 3 blocks are made of rectangles and I used only scraps to make those (I can't really say I have made a dent in my scrap basket either actually...) I picked green as the focus colour for the blocks since this is the January colour for the Rainbow Scraps Challenge organised by Angela I joined the challenge years ago but hadn't participated in recent times. Of course it would be tempting to start yet another project but I think using my scraps for this quilt along in the set colour of the month is a safer plan.
