Out of action and BIG NEWS

We had a very hot and humid week-end and I had no energy to do anything so the curtains were not finished when our visitors arrived on Tuesday. I assumed the lack of energy and extreme tiredness was due to the weather but when we had thunderstorm on Tuesday and a drop in temperature I still felt as tired as before. So the doctor signed me off for a week yesterday as I need to rest. Pity that I have so much "free" time and no energy to do anything. I can't even pick up enough to do some sewing. What's wrong with me?
Anyway, I better be reasonable as it is not just me I have to look after but also our new baby due very early next year!

Welcome to my stop on the Hexie Blog Hop Be a Hexie Queen ! Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along

  Yes I know, another new project... but (!) this one is all about using my scraps, what's not to love. And the instructions come in German for the  Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along .  The first 3 blocks are made of rectangles and I used only scraps to make those (I can't really say I have made a dent in my scrap basket either actually...) I picked green as the focus colour for the blocks since this is the January colour for the Rainbow Scraps Challenge organised by Angela I joined the challenge years ago but hadn't participated in recent times. Of course it would be tempting to start yet another project but I think using my scraps for this quilt along in the set colour of the month is a safer plan.
