Happy Christmas!
First of all, I want to wish you all a very happy Christmas. I hope you will have a fantastic time with your loved ones and I hope Santa won't forget you!
Finally, finally we have a kitchen (not completely finished yet but at least not far off!) so I have been baking with the kids: shortbread
chocolate truffles
Christmas yule log, mini mince pies covered in marzipan
I have also been busy mixing up ingredients to make some bath bombs. I had wanted to try for quite a while and decided that they would make great Christmas presents. So I gathered everything I needed on Saturday and had a try. It is actually quite easy, I was worried they would end up in a mess but it worked quite well. They look like ice cream scoops.
Well, I haven't been able to try any myself because the bathroom is not finished yet and we only have a shower at the moment. Anyway I should give them away at Christmas and hope for the best! I'll try one myself when the bath is finally usable in the house.
And I have also finished a few Christmas presents, just in time for the big day! Yesterday evening, I finished a twisted cushion following Sarah's tutorial here.
I used a lovely turquoise cotton sateen that has a lovely shine and some Liberty fabric for the twists.
And I made 3 pink little tissue pockets as little tokens.
I don't think I'll manage to finish anything else for now! But I can add a few OPAM to my list!
Have a great Christmas, I hope full of joy!
