New Bee on the block - players wanted
If you read my blog regularly, you probably know that I like swapping and taking part into Bees. I am sure lots of new bees are springing up all over the internet but there is one starting in February 2013 that I thought was too good to miss Simply Solids: a {modern} Bee.
Sign up for the bee are running until 31 December, you need to hop over to Erin's blog here to sign up.
Obviously, we will only be using solid fabrics no patterned as per its name! Solids have taken over recently so I am sure it won't be difficult to find ideas/patterns/fabrics for the bee. Talking about fabric, when I first read about the bee, I contacted Justine who now runs Simply Solids online shop here in the UK to ask if she'd like to help us play, and she came back to me so quickly saying she would be more than happy to. I'll contact her again in January when we start the bee to see what she can offer. I know Erin has written in her rules that no fabric buying will be required, I, for one doubt I won't be adding to my solids collection. And if anything, you might want to buy fabric to send to your fellow bees anyway!
The bee is international and depending on the numbers, Erin will organise regional groups - always a bonus to save on postage. So if you are willing to join a bee and want to have a stunningg Simply Solids quilt in just over a year, you know what to do! I know there are a few Brits signed up already, so don't be shy, come and join us and we can save on postage and spend more on fabric of course!
See you there!
