Catching up with blocks

I was very behind with my Bee blocks in February so I thought I would start this month trying to finally catch up. And I have made some progress and sent a few blocks to their new owners.

There was more hand sewing with these hexagons for Cathy for February

and this Lucy Bee block for Uschy for Feburary

I also finished my arrow blocks for Rosanne for Little Blog Bee for January


And then I made a block for Siobhan for Bee Hive but I didn't follow the instructions correctly so I made another with the right size triangles

And I also made an improv block for Colette for Bee Europa 

And finally a paper pieced book for Tracy for #thebookbee

A total of 9 blocks taking my total this month to 12 so far for the 350-blocks challenge.

Welcome to my stop on the Hexie Blog Hop Be a Hexie Queen ! I am a hexie lover and always have an emergency supply of hexies in my bag for when I am on-the-go (which is actually very often) and when I first signed up for the blog hop, I thought I would show you a EPP (English Paper Piecing) hexie project. Blog hop and a giveaway

I have written a blog for over 2 years now but started quilting about 10 years ago, mainly self-taught. Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along

  Yes I know, another new project... but (!) this one is all about using my scraps, what's not to love. And the instructions come in German for the  Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along .  The first 3 blocks are made of rectangles and I used only scraps to make those (I can't really say I have made a dent in my scrap basket either actually...) I picked green as the focus colour for the blocks since this is the January colour for the Rainbow Scraps Challenge organised by Angela I joined the challenge years ago but hadn't participated in recent times. Of course it would be tempting to start yet another project but I think using my scraps for this quilt along in the set colour of the month is a safer plan.
