Q1 Finish Along

I had gone for a shorter list at the beginning of the year but then most items on it required a lot of work to be brought to completion and I must admit, I have been producing blocks by dozens but not finishing many items...

1. M new quilt - blocks are ready to be put together in a quilt - no progress

2. September in the Hexagon - finished

3.  X string quilt - 2 blocks needed to finish the top - - no progress

4. Custom cushions x 2 - - no progress

5. Elephant quilt - only 2 blocks done  - - no progress

6. Quilt for A - HK QAL - nearly half way through the piecing!

7. Quilt for E - HK QAL - not started

8. A very merry Christmas town sampler - little progress

9. Mod Mod Along - more blocks are needed - no progress

10. Work bag for myself - FINISHED!
11. Maker's Tote for me - no progress

12. Wanta Fanta quilt - no progress

I only crossed 2 of my list but I also started one and progressed one. Not a fantastic term for finishing but I'll play again :-)

Welcome to my stop on the Hexie Blog Hop Be a Hexie Queen ! I am a hexie lover and always have an emergency supply of hexies in my bag for when I am on-the-go (which is actually very often) and when I first signed up for the blog hop, I thought I would show you a EPP (English Paper Piecing) hexie project. Blog hop and a giveaway

I have written a blog for over 2 years now but started quilting about 10 years ago, mainly self-taught. I love fabric and my stash is probably too big for my needs, but can a girl really have TOO MUCH fabric? I don't think so! Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along

  Yes I know, another new project... but (!) this one is all about using my scraps, what's not to love. And the instructions come in German for the  Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along .  The first 3 blocks are made of rectangles and I used only scraps to make those (I can't really say I have made a dent in my scrap basket either actually...) I picked green as the focus colour for the blocks since this is the January colour for the Rainbow Scraps Challenge organised by Angela I joined the challenge years ago but hadn't participated in recent times. Of course it would be tempting to start yet another project but I think using my scraps for this quilt along in the set colour of the month is a safer plan.
