Tuesday? time for blocks!

So it is Tuesday again, how time flies, and I have made a few more blocks since last week!

First I made the last block for my scrappy X quilt,

Which means that after 3 years in waiting, the top is finally ready for quilting, yeah, let's hope that won't take another 3 years :-) because I love how this has turned out, and I would love to snuggle under it when the cold weather returns (hopefully not anytime soon!)
oh... and if you are interested, I wrote a tutorial for the blocks a few years back, it is available here.

I also made all the "building blocks" = set of strips, all 18 of them, for my new quilt

And I picked up the Project 48 Quilt again finally, making (only) 2 blocks at the week-end, really love how they have turned out.

I am really hoping to catch up on this project, so many different blocks, in one of my most favorite fabric!
So not a bad start to the month really with 17 blocks already!

    This is such a great way to use up scraps, yours looks great. I did one I completed in May. Look forward to seeing your new one too.

Welcome to my stop on the Hexie Blog Hop Be a Hexie Queen ! Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along

  Yes I know, another new project... but (!) this one is all about using my scraps, what's not to love. And the instructions come in German for the  Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along .  The first 3 blocks are made of rectangles and I used only scraps to make those (I can't really say I have made a dent in my scrap basket either actually...) I picked green as the focus colour for the blocks since this is the January colour for the Rainbow Scraps Challenge organised by Angela I joined the challenge years ago but hadn't participated in recent times. Of course it would be tempting to start yet another project but I think using my scraps for this quilt along in the set colour of the month is a safer plan.
