November goals

Hopefully this month should be a little quieter than the previous ones, I am even hoping for some real sewing time.... not just 5 minutes one evening! Who knows, it might finally happen. Let's make a list to keep focused, or not!

Quilting


1. Mini series SAL - hoping to grow my collection and complete all the 12 blocks
2. Super Mario quilt - needs binding finished off (not even the full binding! And gazillions of threads buried) Will it finally be finished this year?
3. Farmer's Wife quilt - about 30 blocks needed still, it would be so nice to gift it to my mum for Christmas - I guess this is probably unrealistic but we'll see...
4. Storm at Sea - a small one to quilt but hopefully it will be done before the end of the year. 
5. Dear Jane
6. Impromptu quilt - needs quilting. It is a very big quilt so I went to get it professionally quilted. Maybe it will get sent this month... or maybe not still

Dressmaking

1. Utility coat - need finishing - I will make this one my One monthly goal
2. Forester coat
3. PJ for A
4. PJ for C
4. Jeans - cut 1 or 2 years ago...
5. Pillow cases

Bags

1. Moonwake bag

Cross-stitch

1. Grimm's Tales stitch along - not sure I will work on this one again this year, I'll switch back to the Notcracker Parade until Christmas
2. The Nutcracker Parade - time to pick up this one again before Christmas!

Welcome to my stop on the Hexie Blog Hop Be a Hexie Queen ! I am a hexie lover and always have an emergency supply of hexies in my bag for when I am on-the-go (which is actually very often) and when I first signed up for the blog hop, I thought I would show you a EPP (English Paper Piecing) hexie project. That was until I remembered a long forgotten UFO that was laying in a plastic bag in my cupboard. Blog hop and a giveaway

I have written a blog for over 2 years now but started quilting about 10 years ago, mainly self-taught. I love fabric and my stash is probably too big for my needs, but can a girl really have TOO MUCH fabric? I don't think so! Michele at the Quilting Gallery is organising a blog hop for the 4th anniversary of her site . Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along

  Yes I know, another new project... but (!) this one is all about using my scraps, what's not to love. And the instructions come in German for the  Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along .  The first 3 blocks are made of rectangles and I used only scraps to make those (I can't really say I have made a dent in my scrap basket either actually...) I picked green as the focus colour for the blocks since this is the January colour for the Rainbow Scraps Challenge organised by Angela I joined the challenge years ago but hadn't participated in recent times. Of course it would be tempting to start yet another project but I think using my scraps for this quilt along in the set colour of the month is a safer plan.
