Celebration...


It isn't Christmas yet but there are some other reasons to celebrate and get in a festive spirit when days are shorter and dull!
First I have had over 1000 hits on my blog (I know lots of people out there have got more than 50000 but it is great to know that some people have visited and hopefully enjoyed their visit!). Then it will be 6-month since I started this blog very soon. I wasn't sure whether I would be able to keep at it once I get back to work but I enjoy it and I also enjoy blog hopping.
And finally, I am getting older this week-end... So stay tuned and hopefully I will post more about this tomorrow!

Welcome to my stop on the Hexie Blog Hop Be a Hexie Queen ! I am a hexie lover and always have an emergency supply of hexies in my bag for when I am on-the-go (which is actually very often) and when I first signed up for the blog hop, I thought I would show you a EPP (English Paper Piecing) hexie project. Blog hop and a giveaway

I have written a blog for over 2 years now but started quilting about 10 years ago, mainly self-taught. I love fabric and my stash is probably too big for my needs, but can a girl really have TOO MUCH fabric? I don't think so! Michele at the Quilting Gallery is organising a blog hop for the 4th anniversary of her site . Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along

  Yes I know, another new project... but (!) this one is all about using my scraps, what's not to love. And the instructions come in German for the  Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along .  The first 3 blocks are made of rectangles and I used only scraps to make those (I can't really say I have made a dent in my scrap basket either actually...) I picked green as the focus colour for the blocks since this is the January colour for the Rainbow Scraps Challenge organised by Angela I joined the challenge years ago but hadn't participated in recent times. Of course it would be tempting to start yet another project but I think using my scraps for this quilt along in the set colour of the month is a safer plan.
