blocks for the lotto

This week I have (only) managed to make 5 more blocks for the block lotto. I have until the end of this week to make 3 more. I have one more on the go so we'll see how far I will manage to get to! The blocks are lovely, I would love to be lucky enough to win one set!I have also started to cut my squares for this month BQL challenge. This is also due for the end of the month... I better get going fast really.
On Friday and Saturday I went to the Festical of Quilts in Birmingham (UK) with my Mum and Charlotte (Friday only). We had a very good time but I will report on that later with a few pictures of my purchases etc!

Welcome to my stop on the Hexie Blog Hop Be a Hexie Queen ! I am a hexie lover and always have an emergency supply of hexies in my bag for when I am on-the-go (which is actually very often) and when I first signed up for the blog hop, I thought I would show you a EPP (English Paper Piecing) hexie project. Blog hop and a giveaway

I have written a blog for over 2 years now but started quilting about 10 years ago, mainly self-taught. Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along

  Yes I know, another new project... but (!) this one is all about using my scraps, what's not to love. And the instructions come in German for the  Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along .  The first 3 blocks are made of rectangles and I used only scraps to make those (I can't really say I have made a dent in my scrap basket either actually...) I picked green as the focus colour for the blocks since this is the January colour for the Rainbow Scraps Challenge organised by Angela I joined the challenge years ago but hadn't participated in recent times. Of course it would be tempting to start yet another project but I think using my scraps for this quilt along in the set colour of the month is a safer plan.
