Pictures from the week-end

If you have been reading my blog since I started it last year, you might remember the fabric I have been playing with from this post. Well I finally got the bag out and made a start on the baby quilt I wanted to give my friend's son. Didn't manage to make it by his first birthday, will I be able to hand it over on his Christening (less than 2 weeks now). I will surely try my best...

On Saturday I went to my quilting group for my last day long monthly session. I cut all the fabric I needed for the pieced blocks and border and sewn all my 9-patch blocks.


And yesterday, I played with Bondaweb and fabrics and "helped" by my two little ones, I managed to fuse 2 blocks.

6 more animals to prepared before going on the "extreme" sewing phase. Bright colours again.

Welcome to my stop on the Hexie Blog Hop Be a Hexie Queen ! I am a hexie lover and always have an emergency supply of hexies in my bag for when I am on-the-go (which is actually very often) and when I first signed up for the blog hop, I thought I would show you a EPP (English Paper Piecing) hexie project. Blog hop and a giveaway

I have written a blog for over 2 years now but started quilting about 10 years ago, mainly self-taught. I love fabric and my stash is probably too big for my needs, but can a girl really have TOO MUCH fabric? I don't think so! Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along

  Yes I know, another new project... but (!) this one is all about using my scraps, what's not to love. And the instructions come in German for the  Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along .  The first 3 blocks are made of rectangles and I used only scraps to make those (I can't really say I have made a dent in my scrap basket either actually...) I picked green as the focus colour for the blocks since this is the January colour for the Rainbow Scraps Challenge organised by Angela I joined the challenge years ago but hadn't participated in recent times. Of course it would be tempting to start yet another project but I think using my scraps for this quilt along in the set colour of the month is a safer plan.
