February in review

February is a short month of course and a busy one in our family for birthdays... so I always end up having little time to sew in the end. Plus work is really busy at the moment so unfortunately, sewing time has been really rare this month and I haven't achieved much... bu I have a new dress!


Hoping for finish
1. Dance bag for A - have gone as far as cutting the fabric - no progress
2. Dance bag for C - not started but it would be good to finish it at the same time as the other one more or less - no progress
3.  This will be my One monthly goal again - done

WIP
1. Farmer's wife - no progress
2. Gipsy Wife - lots of catch up needed here - no progress
3. Postcards of the world - 2 more postcards to draw and 1 to finish - no progress
4. Farmer's Wife 1930 - about caught up, I have blocks 1-16 together now

1. HST modern sampler quilt - half way (12 blocks) - this one is my February goal on the APQ UFO challenge, let's see if I can do anything to progress it - little progress (5 blocks)... is better than nothing....

Welcome to my stop on the Hexie Blog Hop Be a Hexie Queen ! I am a hexie lover and always have an emergency supply of hexies in my bag for when I am on-the-go (which is actually very often) and when I first signed up for the blog hop, I thought I would show you a EPP (English Paper Piecing) hexie project. That was until I remembered a long forgotten UFO that was laying in a plastic bag in my cupboard. Blog hop and a giveaway

I have written a blog for over 2 years now but started quilting about 10 years ago, mainly self-taught. I love fabric and my stash is probably too big for my needs, but can a girl really have TOO MUCH fabric? I don't think so! Michele at the Quilting Gallery is organising a blog hop for the 4th anniversary of her site . Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along

  Yes I know, another new project... but (!) this one is all about using my scraps, what's not to love. And the instructions come in German for the  Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along .  The first 3 blocks are made of rectangles and I used only scraps to make those (I can't really say I have made a dent in my scrap basket either actually...) I picked green as the focus colour for the blocks since this is the January colour for the Rainbow Scraps Challenge organised by Angela I joined the challenge years ago but hadn't participated in recent times. Of course it would be tempting to start yet another project but I think using my scraps for this quilt along in the set colour of the month is a safer plan.
