Hoop la la...

Yesterday was a great day... The postman brought me a parcel at lunch time that I *had to* tear apart! I open the box to reveal this lovely wrapped present...

and then unwrapped it carefully to find the most beautiful Hoop and some lovely goodies from Ivy

I absolutely love what she has created for me, she used all the clues from my mosaic to create a wonderful hoop. Look at those gorgeous hexies...

I must say her hoop was my favourite from the photostream and I was secretly hooping it would come my way... so I couldn't hide my delight when I found it in my box yesterday. It was the most perfect birthday present. The girls noticed it and commented on how lovely it is, so I am glad Ivy embroidered my name on it... just in case!
Thank you very much Ivy for a perfect great swap, I have been spoilt and the timing was so good to receive it on my birthday!

    That is the most perfect hoop - lucky you! And happy birthday :) I had wanted to join in Hooplala but at the time I was already in too much but seeing what people have made makes me wish I had joined afterall!!

Welcome to my stop on the Hexie Blog Hop Be a Hexie Queen ! I have written a blog for over 2 years now but started quilting about 10 years ago, mainly self-taught. Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along

  Yes I know, another new project... but (!) this one is all about using my scraps, what's not to love. And the instructions come in German for the  Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along .  The first 3 blocks are made of rectangles and I used only scraps to make those (I can't really say I have made a dent in my scrap basket either actually...) I picked green as the focus colour for the blocks since this is the January colour for the Rainbow Scraps Challenge organised by Angela I joined the challenge years ago but hadn't participated in recent times. Of course it would be tempting to start yet another project but I think using my scraps for this quilt along in the set colour of the month is a safer plan.
