Last cake and little sewing
Last week we had Mr Cars' birthday party with his friends so of course, Mummy made yet another cake! The ninth one in just over one month. I did a racing car again but covered it in white marzipan this time. Mr Cars was pleased and so were his friends. And me too actually because I can finally take a break from baking birthday cakes!
I also spent a lot of time on my sewing machine in the last couple of weeks sewing some curtains for our new extensions. I have 2 sets of wide French doors so I had meters of fabric to sew for this curtains. The hemming by hand is not even started yet but all the curtains are finally up. I am so glad there are (almost) finish. Now it remains to see how long it will take me to hem those 4 pairs of curtains and Miss Strawberry Shortcake Curtains and one pair of Mr Cars curtains. I will have to make a start quite soon ass I have little pins left in my box, they are all used to keep the hems up!
And to keep my sanity I did a little patchwork too. I worked on Helen's blocks for the EPP bee. I am extremely late with those blocks but I was so glad to finish the first block last week. The second one is more than halfway through so hopefully I will be sending Helen my delayed blocks very shortly.
If you haven't seen it yet, the "Meet: My Machine" blog hop has started yesterday, see the button on the side of my blog and come back on Wednesday to meet MY machine!
I will be linking to Jen's building blocks Tuesday.
See you soon!
