April goals

 I can't quite believe that the first quarter of the year is over and this is not even an April's fool... I hope that with lighter evenings there might be more time and energy to sew but equally I thinnk the month will be rather busy with lots of activities, a week long business trip etc so I am not sure how much time I'll manage to steal in the end...

Quilting

1. Dear Jane - hoping to finish block E13 and row E...nearly there!

2. Modern City Scape - hoping to continue with this quilt along and complete row 3


3. Birthday blocks - hoping to continue with this quilt along

4. Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along - February, March and April blocks

5. Farmer's Wife - 1 or 2 blocks?


6. Harry Potter - a few more blocks needed to finish this top


8. Jemina's hexagon quilt-long - hoping to catch up and continue with this quilt along

Dressmaking / Sewing

1. Town bag by Grainline - cut and started early last year, I haven't touched it since...

Welcome to my stop on the Hexie Blog Hop Be a Hexie Queen ! I am a hexie lover and always have an emergency supply of hexies in my bag for when I am on-the-go (which is actually very often) and when I first signed up for the blog hop, I thought I would show you a EPP (English Paper Piecing) hexie project. That was until I remembered a long forgotten UFO that was laying in a plastic bag in my cupboard. Blog hop and a giveaway

I have written a blog for over 2 years now but started quilting about 10 years ago, mainly self-taught. I love fabric and my stash is probably too big for my needs, but can a girl really have TOO MUCH fabric? I don't think so! Michele at the Quilting Gallery is organising a blog hop for the 4th anniversary of her site . Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along

  Yes I know, another new project... but (!) this one is all about using my scraps, what's not to love. And the instructions come in German for the  Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along .  The first 3 blocks are made of rectangles and I used only scraps to make those (I can't really say I have made a dent in my scrap basket either actually...) I picked green as the focus colour for the blocks since this is the January colour for the Rainbow Scraps Challenge organised by Angela I joined the challenge years ago but hadn't participated in recent times. Of course it would be tempting to start yet another project but I think using my scraps for this quilt along in the set colour of the month is a safer plan.
