June Goals

 Well, let's hope this month I do get 1) some sewing time 2) some energy to create something... but I am really not sure about either considering a third of the month has gone before I even post my list!

Quilting

1. Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along - February, April, May and June blocks needed - hoping to catch up and continue 

2. Dear Jane - hoping to finish row F... 3 blocks needed

3. Modern City Scape - hoping to catch up and continue with this quilt along 


4. Birthday blocks - hoping to catch up and continue with this quilt along

5. Farmer's Wife - 1 or 2 blocks?

Dressmaking / Sewing

1. Town bag by Grainline - cut and started early last year, I haven't touched it since...

Welcome to my stop on the Hexie Blog Hop Be a Hexie Queen ! I am a hexie lover and always have an emergency supply of hexies in my bag for when I am on-the-go (which is actually very often) and when I first signed up for the blog hop, I thought I would show you a EPP (English Paper Piecing) hexie project. That was until I remembered a long forgotten UFO that was laying in a plastic bag in my cupboard. I thought it would be the perfect occasion to get the dist and cobwebs out (no it wasn't that bad really) and give it a new lease of life! It all started with a few scrap strips and ended with a few more strips! I ordered and received a scrap bag of Moda fabric a few years back and I received a pack of off-cuts of Migration by Holly Taylor. Little more progress

  We are back from pour holidays in Canada and the normal rush of work/kids/house is un full speed again...  Our trip in Canada was really nice, and although I was going to make it to a quilting shop or even a craft store, none of that happened! We visited Toronto and the Niagara Falls and then moved on to Québec for a little tour. Lots of lovely sights and a great encounter with whales and black bears! Holidays has also meant hand sewing as you might have seen in my previous posts and with that I managed 2 more blocks for the Mischief quilt, a yellow and a green.  I've been briefly looking for block(s) I made before but I had only made one which has been stained it seems when the basement got flooded... Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along

  Yes I know, another new project... but (!) this one is all about using my scraps, what's not to love. And the instructions come in German for the  Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along .  The first 3 blocks are made of rectangles and I used only scraps to make those (I can't really say I have made a dent in my scrap basket either actually...) I picked green as the focus colour for the blocks since this is the January colour for the Rainbow Scraps Challenge organised by Angela I joined the challenge years ago but hadn't participated in recent times. Of course it would be tempting to start yet another project but I think using my scraps for this quilt along in the set colour of the month is a safer plan.
