BOM Rehab

I have spent quite a lot of time sitting this week-end, in the car, in the sofa, by the swimming pool, the indoor playing area, etc... and I feel some of the time stitching one block of my Life is Beautiful BOM. I hadn't started my May block until Saturday but I am now nearly finished. I have stitched the drawing, I only need to stitch the saying to have one more block finished. Here is what it looks like so far.

    It is so great to see others make progress on projects. I have done a little this week for BOM Rehab but have nothing to post this week. I am determined to join in next week. Happy stitching!

    I love the places you choose to stitch in. By the pool sounds lovely but not here at the moment in winter. Another project nearly done?

Welcome to my stop on the Hexie Blog Hop Be a Hexie Queen ! I am a hexie lover and always have an emergency supply of hexies in my bag for when I am on-the-go (which is actually very often) and when I first signed up for the blog hop, I thought I would show you a EPP (English Paper Piecing) hexie project. I have written a blog for over 2 years now but started quilting about 10 years ago, mainly self-taught. Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along

  Yes I know, another new project... but (!) this one is all about using my scraps, what's not to love. And the instructions come in German for the  Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along .  The first 3 blocks are made of rectangles and I used only scraps to make those (I can't really say I have made a dent in my scrap basket either actually...) I picked green as the focus colour for the blocks since this is the January colour for the Rainbow Scraps Challenge organised by Angela I joined the challenge years ago but hadn't participated in recent times. Of course it would be tempting to start yet another project but I think using my scraps for this quilt along in the set colour of the month is a safer plan.
