Finish Along Q4

Time for another list! Last quarter of the year and a few "must be finished" items to tick and of course some I have dragged... for a while!

2015 FAL at On the Windy Side

1. #charmpions quilt for my friends' 40th

2. M new quilt - blocks are ready to be put together in a quilt

3. Farmer's girl vintage quilt for Soo's retirement - lots of blocks needed

4.  Star Plus quilt - needs quilting and binding

5. September in the Hexagons - need binding

6. Cat bag as a Christmas present similar to the one I made 2 years ago

7.  X string quilt - 2 blocks needed to finish the top

8. Mr Snowmen cushion - all the blocks were pieced. Some progress, quilted, it needs embroidery and finishing

9. Custom cushions x 2 

10. Elephant quilt - only 2 blocks done

11. Quilt for A - not started

12. Advent wreath - need quilting and binding

13. A very merry Christmas town sampler

14. Mod Mod Along - more blocks are needed

15. Work bag for myself - started years ago but stopped because of a zip fear! - this one is on my list since the beginning of last year so I am really hoping I'll eventually pick it up and finish it...  

I will even stop at 15 this time as the next few weeks are very very busy for us so I am not sure how much sewing I will actually get done.

Welcome to my stop on the Hexie Blog Hop Be a Hexie Queen ! I am a hexie lover and always have an emergency supply of hexies in my bag for when I am on-the-go (which is actually very often) and when I first signed up for the blog hop, I thought I would show you a EPP (English Paper Piecing) hexie project. That was until I remembered a long forgotten UFO that was laying in a plastic bag in my cupboard. Blog hop and a giveaway

I have written a blog for over 2 years now but started quilting about 10 years ago, mainly self-taught. I love fabric and my stash is probably too big for my needs, but can a girl really have TOO MUCH fabric? I don't think so! Michele at the Quilting Gallery is organising a blog hop for the 4th anniversary of her site . If you don't know the quilting gallery yet, you need to hop over there and have a look around, there is plenty to browse at. Every week, there is a themed-contest. Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along

  Yes I know, another new project... but (!) this one is all about using my scraps, what's not to love. And the instructions come in German for the  Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along .  The first 3 blocks are made of rectangles and I used only scraps to make those (I can't really say I have made a dent in my scrap basket either actually...) I picked green as the focus colour for the blocks since this is the January colour for the Rainbow Scraps Challenge organised by Angela I joined the challenge years ago but hadn't participated in recent times. Of course it would be tempting to start yet another project but I think using my scraps for this quilt along in the set colour of the month is a safer plan.
