August goals

 Summer seems to have turn to autumn here. The great outdoor is not appealing at all with all the rain and cold weather... but at the sale time, I don't seem to have much energy either. I think sewing time will be rather limited this month so I shouldn't be over-ambitious with the list!


Quilting

1. Impromptu quilt - I have cheated with this one by trimming it and putting on the bed, without the binding so we have been enjoying it already but it would be so very nice to finish it properly....



Dressmaking

1. Aquarius dress - this one was "finished" for my daughter's Communion in June but needed some fixing so I have unpicked the hem and fixed the rest. Maybe I can finally sew the hem again


2. Hubby's PJs - these are half cut already - Let's make it my One monthly goal
3. Linen Skirt


Bags

1. Moonwake bag
2. Town bag by Grainline - cut and started but not progressing
3. Scrappy baskets
4. Corkordion Wallet


Cross-stitch

1. Grimm's Tales stitch along

It is snowing...

Well not really where I am. It is pouring down with rain and it is very windy too. But it has been snowing in my sewing room! If you have arrived from the Holiday Lane Pillow  blog hop , welcome! Today is day my stop on the hop. I first saw Jill's design last year and saved it on my computer to make it one day! September in the Hexagon!

Welcome to my stop on the Hexie Blog Hop Be a Hexie Queen ! I am a hexie lover and always have an emergency supply of hexies in my bag for when I am on-the-go (which is actually very often) and when I first signed up for the blog hop, I thought I would show you a EPP (English Paper Piecing) hexie project. That was until I remembered a long forgotten UFO that was laying in a plastic bag in my cupboard. I thought it would be the perfect occasion to get the dist and cobwebs out (no it wasn't that bad really) and give it a new lease of life! It all started with a few scrap strips and ended with a few more strips! I ordered and received a scrap bag of Moda fabric a few years back and I received a pack of off-cuts of Migration by Holly Taylor.
