May recap

Another month has gone by sooo quickly! I can't believe it is nearly June already. I made a few items this month and also some blocks so I am rather happy about that, including some not on the list one... oops!

Hoping for finish
1. Orsola dress - nearly finished, I only have the inside waistband to finish sewing by hand. This will be my One monthly goal - finished and enjoyed already!


WIP
1. Farmer's wife - no progress 
2. Gipsy Wife - lots of catch up needed here - no progress 
3. Postcards of the world - 1 more postcard to draw and 1 to finish - there has been a lot of unpicking and some stitching too.... 
4. Farmer's Wife 1930 - let's try to continue to keep up more or less - I would really like to pick this one up again.... - 10 more blocks this month

UFO / Abandoned WIP
1. HST modern sampler quilt - (19 blocks) - this one was my February goal on the APQ UFO challenge, I need a few more blocks to finish this top, it would be good to get there - no progress
2. Dear Jane - aiming for 5 blocks - no progress

Welcome to my stop on the Hexie Blog Hop Be a Hexie Queen ! I am a hexie lover and always have an emergency supply of hexies in my bag for when I am on-the-go (which is actually very often) and when I first signed up for the blog hop, I thought I would show you a EPP (English Paper Piecing) hexie project. That was until I remembered a long forgotten UFO that was laying in a plastic bag in my cupboard. I thought it would be the perfect occasion to get the dist and cobwebs out (no it wasn't that bad really) and give it a new lease of life! Blog hop and a giveaway

I have written a blog for over 2 years now but started quilting about 10 years ago, mainly self-taught. I love fabric and my stash is probably too big for my needs, but can a girl really have TOO MUCH fabric? I don't think so! Michele at the Quilting Gallery is organising a blog hop for the 4th anniversary of her site . If you don't know the quilting gallery yet, you need to hop over there and have a look around, there is plenty to browse at. Every week, there is a themed-contest. Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along

  Yes I know, another new project... but (!) this one is all about using my scraps, what's not to love. And the instructions come in German for the  Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along .  The first 3 blocks are made of rectangles and I used only scraps to make those (I can't really say I have made a dent in my scrap basket either actually...) I picked green as the focus colour for the blocks since this is the January colour for the Rainbow Scraps Challenge organised by Angela I joined the challenge years ago but hadn't participated in recent times. Of course it would be tempting to start yet another project but I think using my scraps for this quilt along in the set colour of the month is a safer plan.
