June recap

So this is it, the first half of the year is over already... how is that possible. Finally we have had some summery weather here too, which has been very pleasant and mood lifting! I have had a good month (helped by a full sewing day) and managed to finish quite a few projects actually (also start some on the way but let's not dwell on that too much...)
Hoping for finish
1. Kielo dress - I need to finish the armband, the neck and the hem. This will be my One monthly goal - finished! I love this dress so much that I have already cut a second one...
2. Lucia top by Sew Over It - cut and ready to be assembled - finished

1. Farmer's wife - no progress
2. Gipsy Wife - lots of catch up needed here  no progress
3. Postcards of the world - 1 postcard to draw and 1 to finish -  little progress here
4. Farmer's Wife 1930 - let's try to continue to make more blocks -  no progress

1. HST modern sampler quilt - (19 blocks) - this one was my February goal on the APQ UFO challenge, I need a few more blocks to finish this top, it would be good to get there -  no progress

Welcome to my stop on the Hexie Blog Hop Be a Hexie Queen ! I am a hexie lover and always have an emergency supply of hexies in my bag for when I am on-the-go (which is actually very often) and when I first signed up for the blog hop, I thought I would show you a EPP (English Paper Piecing) hexie project. I have written a blog for over 2 years now but started quilting about 10 years ago, mainly self-taught. I love fabric and my stash is probably too big for my needs, but can a girl really have TOO MUCH fabric? I don't think so! Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along

  Yes I know, another new project... but (!) this one is all about using my scraps, what's not to love. And the instructions come in German for the  Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along .  The first 3 blocks are made of rectangles and I used only scraps to make those (I can't really say I have made a dent in my scrap basket either actually...) I picked green as the focus colour for the blocks since this is the January colour for the Rainbow Scraps Challenge organised by Angela I joined the challenge years ago but hadn't participated in recent times. Of course it would be tempting to start yet another project but I think using my scraps for this quilt along in the set colour of the month is a safer plan.
