More pencil cases

My middle daughter's main teacher is a man so we thought a pencil case would be a good present. She also decided that she wanted a present for her PE teacher who is also a man so I doubled up and made 2 pencil cases, identical ones. She picked this lovely shiny petrol blue fabric that almost look like it has a subtle grid on it.
I made both pencil cases at the same time since they were the same colour, I could use same thread! 
And soon enough I had 2 nice masculine pencil cases, ready to be gifted away!
Not forgetting of course the cute "handmade" tag by Kylie and the Machine
2 more OPAM and 2 more off my Q3 FAL list.

Welcome to my stop on the Hexie Blog Hop Be a Hexie Queen ! Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along

  Yes I know, another new project... but (!) this one is all about using my scraps, what's not to love. And the instructions come in German for the  Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along .  The first 3 blocks are made of rectangles and I used only scraps to make those (I can't really say I have made a dent in my scrap basket either actually...) I picked green as the focus colour for the blocks since this is the January colour for the Rainbow Scraps Challenge organised by Angela I joined the challenge years ago but hadn't participated in recent times. Of course it would be tempting to start yet another project but I think using my scraps for this quilt along in the set colour of the month is a safer plan.
