Mini scrap basket swap - round 2

I stayed on my machine late last night, chain piecing blocks for the Mini Scrap Basket swap - round 2. Deadline for posting the blocks was today and I made it to the post office before the mail was collected so my 30 blocks are now on their way to America to be swap over.
 I really like the effect of those string blocks
 and I hope there will be at least another round as I would love to collect more blocks.
I have been able to use some of the fabric that Michele sent me as extra during the pot holder pass and I think the blocks made with those fabrics are gorgeous (I have kept a couple for me!)
I will have 43 blocks when my swap arrives back but I think I would need more to have a lovely colourful lap quilt.

    you could always extend your quilt with a plain border.. then more of your jazzy blocks. x

Welcome to my stop on the Hexie Blog Hop Be a Hexie Queen ! Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along

  Yes I know, another new project... but (!) this one is all about using my scraps, what's not to love. And the instructions come in German for the  Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along .  The first 3 blocks are made of rectangles and I used only scraps to make those (I can't really say I have made a dent in my scrap basket either actually...) I picked green as the focus colour for the blocks since this is the January colour for the Rainbow Scraps Challenge organised by Angela I joined the challenge years ago but hadn't participated in recent times. Of course it would be tempting to start yet another project but I think using my scraps for this quilt along in the set colour of the month is a safer plan.
