Look what the mailman brought me

There was a huge stash of post when we came back home on Saturday and amongst the bills and other boring letters, it is always nice to find some little gems. I received 2 more lovely blocks for the [4x5] Modern Mini Bee. And there are another 2 on their way to me! The first quarter swap is now over and I have sure signed up for next quarter. I need more of these beauties to make into a nice fresh and modern quilt.

And this morning I also received this lovely star from Constanze for the [3x6] Mini Sampler Bee. The first quarter of this bee is over too and I have received 4 stars so far, 4 more to go!

Welcome to my stop on the Hexie Blog Hop Be a Hexie Queen ! I am a hexie lover and always have an emergency supply of hexies in my bag for when I am on-the-go (which is actually very often) and when I first signed up for the blog hop, I thought I would show you a EPP (English Paper Piecing) hexie project. Blog hop and a giveaway

I have written a blog for over 2 years now but started quilting about 10 years ago, mainly self-taught. I love fabric and my stash is probably too big for my needs, but can a girl really have TOO MUCH fabric? I don't think so! Michele at the Quilting Gallery is organising a blog hop for the 4th anniversary of her site . Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along

  Yes I know, another new project... but (!) this one is all about using my scraps, what's not to love. And the instructions come in German for the  Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along .  The first 3 blocks are made of rectangles and I used only scraps to make those (I can't really say I have made a dent in my scrap basket either actually...) I picked green as the focus colour for the blocks since this is the January colour for the Rainbow Scraps Challenge organised by Angela I joined the challenge years ago but hadn't participated in recent times. Of course it would be tempting to start yet another project but I think using my scraps for this quilt along in the set colour of the month is a safer plan.
