My seven different version of the Ribbon Star are finished for the [3x6] sampler quilt mini bee. I showed you the first 3 last week and I completed the last 4 yesterday. Now they can all fly away but one that I am keeping.

This one is for Melody - pink/coral, yellow and green
This is for Kira - teal, green and aqua
This is for Anna - magenta, chartreuse, turquoise
and this one is for Kim - red, aqua, light yellow in a 30s style
I found it fascinating to see how the same block can look so different depending on the fabric combination used in it. Sometimes, I find it hard to recognise the same pattern. And a swap like this is a great way of working with colours that you are not used to buy/use (a great way to expand your stash too I guess!)

Welcome to my stop on the Hexie Blog Hop Be a Hexie Queen ! Blog hop and a giveaway

I have written a blog for over 2 years now but started quilting about 10 years ago, mainly self-taught. Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along

  Yes I know, another new project... but (!) this one is all about using my scraps, what's not to love. And the instructions come in German for the  Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along .  The first 3 blocks are made of rectangles and I used only scraps to make those (I can't really say I have made a dent in my scrap basket either actually...) I picked green as the focus colour for the blocks since this is the January colour for the Rainbow Scraps Challenge organised by Angela I joined the challenge years ago but hadn't participated in recent times. Of course it would be tempting to start yet another project but I think using my scraps for this quilt along in the set colour of the month is a safer plan.
