And the last quilt is off the frame

Of course, I have recovered my sewing machine at the weekend, which obviously means that the last quilt is off the frame! My Stems and Stones quilt, pattern by Kelly Young is all quilted and ready for binding. Love the pattern and love the fabric, I wasn't sure of the mix originally but I think it works!

I used a Flower Power pattern from The Inbox Jaunt for an all-over quilting and I really like the effect it gives to the quilt.

lots of great texture. I used quite a bright variegated thread King Tut by Superior Threads and it worked well with the multi-colour fabric. 
Now only the binding to sew on and hopefully it will be ready on time to be gifted on Saturday night to my friend.

Welcome to my stop on the Hexie Blog Hop Be a Hexie Queen ! Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along

  Yes I know, another new project... but (!) this one is all about using my scraps, what's not to love. And the instructions come in German for the  Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along .  The first 3 blocks are made of rectangles and I used only scraps to make those (I can't really say I have made a dent in my scrap basket either actually...) I picked green as the focus colour for the blocks since this is the January colour for the Rainbow Scraps Challenge organised by Angela I joined the challenge years ago but hadn't participated in recent times. Of course it would be tempting to start yet another project but I think using my scraps for this quilt along in the set colour of the month is a safer plan.
