Hugs swap

I have finished my mug mat and mug hug for the swap and they will be going to Australia tomorrow to Laurel. I will post a picture soon but the ones I have taken tonight with artificial light are not very nice. The only sneak peek you will have for now is below with the backing fabric.

Today I also received the fabric labels I ordered last week. It was a quick turn around. I wasn't sure how they would look like once printed. I had an image on the screen but I wasn't sure what the real colour would be like so I was a bit anxious to receive them. I am really pleased with them I think they came out nicely and the colours are really soft. What do you think?

Welcome to my stop on the Hexie Blog Hop Be a Hexie Queen ! I have written a blog for over 2 years now but started quilting about 10 years ago, mainly self-taught. Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along

  Yes I know, another new project... but (!) this one is all about using my scraps, what's not to love. And the instructions come in German for the  Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along .  The first 3 blocks are made of rectangles and I used only scraps to make those (I can't really say I have made a dent in my scrap basket either actually...) I picked green as the focus colour for the blocks since this is the January colour for the Rainbow Scraps Challenge organised by Angela I joined the challenge years ago but hadn't participated in recent times. Of course it would be tempting to start yet another project but I think using my scraps for this quilt along in the set colour of the month is a safer plan.
