Harry again!

I finally made some more progress and so nearly caught up with the Harry Potter quilt along! Cutting all the pieces for the blocks last week took quite some time but proved to be the best way to get the blocks done in the evenings.
First to join the gang was Minerva
Then Snape
Followed by the one we don't say the name 
And finally a rather wonky Luna... I think there will be some unpicking in my future....
I also cut all the sashing last weekend so I started putting the blocks together,  not always very successfully....
The quilt will be massive. I had trouble taking a picture of the first 2 rows!
A new block was published today so I'm 2 behind once more!

Welcome to my stop on the Hexie Blog Hop Be a Hexie Queen ! I have written a blog for over 2 years now but started quilting about 10 years ago, mainly self-taught. Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along

  Yes I know, another new project... but (!) this one is all about using my scraps, what's not to love. And the instructions come in German for the  Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along .  The first 3 blocks are made of rectangles and I used only scraps to make those (I can't really say I have made a dent in my scrap basket either actually...) I picked green as the focus colour for the blocks since this is the January colour for the Rainbow Scraps Challenge organised by Angela I joined the challenge years ago but hadn't participated in recent times. Of course it would be tempting to start yet another project but I think using my scraps for this quilt along in the set colour of the month is a safer plan.
