What's left is to take out all the papers at the back and to quilt and bind it. It wasn't so bad really, not sure why I parked this project for so long..
Beautiful mini in the making, Celine!! Best of luck ripping out all the papers. SEW not a fun task, but better with a friend or two! Zooming will do. :o))
Welcome to my stop on the Hexie Blog Hop Be a Hexie Queen ! I am a hexie lover and always have an emergency supply of hexies in my bag for when I am on-the-go (which is actually very often) and when I first signed up for the blog hop, I thought I would show you a EPP (English Paper Piecing) hexie project. That was until I remembered a long forgotten UFO that was laying in a plastic bag in my cupboard. I thought it would be the perfect occasion to get the dist and cobwebs out (no it wasn't that bad really) and give it a new lease of life! It all started with a few scrap strips and ended with a few more strips! I ordered and received a scrap bag of Moda fabric a few years back and I received a pack of off-cuts of Migration by Holly Taylor. I wasn't sure what to do with it until I saw this Hexagon quilt-along on Julie of Jaybird Quilts ' blog that I know I wanted to join in, it was all about hexagons! Well not really where I am. It is pouring down with rain and it is very windy too. But it has been snowing in my sewing room! If you have arrived from the Holiday Lane Pillow blog hop , welcome! Today is day my stop on the hop. I first saw Jill's design last year and saved it on my computer to make it one day! So when Madam Samm announced the blog hop run by Pauline, I thought this was the perfect occasion and signed up for it. Thanks to you for the motivation and the encouragement to get going!
Welcome to my blog if you are new here and found me from the Quilting Gallery website and welcome back if you are a regular reader. I have written a blog for over 2 years now but started quilting about 10 years ago, mainly self-taught. I love fabric and my stash is probably too big for my needs, but can a girl really have TOO MUCH fabric? I don't think so! Michele at the Quilting Gallery is organising a blog hop for the 4th anniversary of her site . If you don't know the quilting gallery yet, you need to hop over there and have a look around, there is plenty to browse at. Every week, there is a themed-contest. Everyone can enter their quilts and everyone can vote on the entries. Well worth having a look at, you can even enter your quilts if they fit the theme. I have entered a few times in the past, but never won! From September until December, 36 designers shared a Christmas block for free in the " Celebrate Christmas Quilt-along ", you can still collect the pat...
your mini storm at sea is so cute! I'm sure you'll make fast work of removing the papers!
