More blocks

Wow il just caught up with the Modern City Scape blocks as the next one is coming out. 

I had finished block #4 last week and added it to the first 3

And I finished block #5 on Saturday 

But when I prepared to join block 5 to the first 4 blocks I noticed I hadn't assembled block 5 correctly, another one! The panel on the right should have been on the left....

And looking more closely, I noticed the same mistake in block 4 plus the bottom right courber had been sewn upside down....

So there has been quite a lot of ripping this morning but finally the first row is complete!

    I like your blocks, and as a “civil war repro” kind of quilter who usually makes traditional blocks, I can see why you sewed pieces on the wrong side. I would be lost. I am very interested to see this piece completed. Your colors are beautiful! Hugs, Judy

It is snowing...

Well not really where I am. It is pouring down with rain and it is very windy too. But it has been snowing in my sewing room! If you have arrived from the Holiday Lane Pillow  blog hop , welcome! Dare to Dresden - Day 5

Welcome to England and thanks for stopping by! Make yourself comfortable while I share with you my Dresden adaptation. But before I share with you what I have made for the blog hop, I have a little confession to make. I signed up for the blog hop early in January (while still away on holidays actually and dutifully added the button to the side of my blog). Christine of Quilt Monster in my Closet  sent us an email with the plan for the hop and guided us through it around mid-January and then on Monday, she sent us this nice little reminder about our forthcoming spot on the hop. This is when I went into panic mode.
