To Do Tuesday

 Finally I have been blessed to get some sewing time. Not always a lot, but enough to feel like there was some sewing back in my week. I had drwn a varied list last week as I didn't have a clue what would take my fancy. Happy to report (little) progress

1. Add sashing to Dear Jane block F1 and sew to the rest of the F row - done


2. Make blocks for the Modern City Scape (I have 5 or 6 to catch up with I guess, starting with block #18) - done (block #18)


3. Make Birthday blocks (I have  more than 5 to catch up with I guess, starting with block #17) - no progress

4. Sew the Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along blocks for February, April, May and June - no progress

5. Finish my nightdress - no progress

6. Cut some pouches for the teachers' presents - no progress

7. Sew a Barbie outfit - started

This week, I have managed to sew 5 days out of 7, linking for 15 minutes to stitch with Kate

Now is time to plan for the week ahead:

1. Make block F8

2. Make blocks for the Modern City Scape -starting with #19

3. Finish my nightdress

4. Make some pouches for the teachers' presents

Welcome to my stop on the Hexie Blog Hop Be a Hexie Queen ! I am a hexie lover and always have an emergency supply of hexies in my bag for when I am on-the-go (which is actually very often) and when I first signed up for the blog hop, I thought I would show you a EPP (English Paper Piecing) hexie project. Little more progress

  We are back from pour holidays in Canada and the normal rush of work/kids/house is un full speed again...  Our trip in Canada was really nice, and although I was going to make it to a quilting shop or even a craft store, none of that happened! We visited Toronto and the Niagara Falls and then moved on to Québec for a little tour. Lots of lovely sights and a great encounter with whales and black bears! Holidays has also meant hand sewing as you might have seen in my previous posts and with that I managed 2 more blocks for the Mischief quilt, a yellow and a green.  I've been briefly looking for block(s) I made before but I had only made one which has been stained it seems when the basement got flooded... Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along

  Yes I know, another new project... but (!) this one is all about using my scraps, what's not to love. And the instructions come in German for the  Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along .  The first 3 blocks are made of rectangles and I used only scraps to make those (I can't really say I have made a dent in my scrap basket either actually...) I picked green as the focus colour for the blocks since this is the January colour for the Rainbow Scraps Challenge organised by Angela I joined the challenge years ago but hadn't participated in recent times. Of course it would be tempting to start yet another project but I think using my scraps for this quilt along in the set colour of the month is a safer plan.
