In Progress
During the holidays we have covered about 1500 miles (2200 km) and spent about 30 hours in total in the car so of course I had plenty of opportunities and time to hand sew! I progressed on a few EPP blocks which are almost ready to go. I worked on my Lucy Boston's Patchwork of the Cross blocks for the I love Lucy Bee as I have some catch up to do. The bee started in November but I only received my templates early December and of course in the run up to Christmas I never started my blocks. So I have one red and white block nearly finished
one grey/black/taupe and yellow block in progress
I also finished my flowers for Chrys and these are heading to their new homes now.
And yesterday I picked up my belated Tea Cup blocks for Sew Euro Bee An for Di that have been waiting for a while. I am nearly done with them now, only the handles to add.
And although it was back to work, back to the routines, back to reality this week, I am very fortunate to have received a fantastic Christmas gift from my boss. I was so thrilled to open her beautifully wrapped package to find nothing less than the Liberty book of Home Sewing, a gorgeous book. I feel really touched as this is such a generous and thoughtful gift. A fantastic welcome back after the holidays I must say.

And this Saturday I am planning to work on my Farmer's Wife blocks, will you join me?

The I Love Lucy block is pretty
ReplyDeleteLovely blocks. Looking forward to seeing what you do tomorrow for the Farmer's Wife blocks.
ReplyDeletethose Lucy blocks are just fantastic. They are so different with the honeycombs instead of hexies.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for sharing at Needle and Thread Thursday!
